Mr Tim Hillard is an experienced gynaecologist with a special interest in menopause and uro-gynaecology (bladder problems and prolapse).

He is an accredited Menopause Specialist and has extensive experience in dealing with menopausal problems and Hormone Replacement Therapy (including bio-identical hormones). He is one of a few accredited menopause specialists in the region and runs dedicated menopause clinics both NHS and privately.

He is an experienced uro-gynaecologist with particular expertise in the management of urinary problems, including stress incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse.  He runs his own urodynamic clinic (both NHS and private) and provides a wide range of incontinence and pelvic floor procedures including bladder neck injections, colposuspension, pelvic floor repairs, vaginal hysterectomy and more complex procedures such as sacro-colpopexy.

Tim also offers a comprehensive gynaecological service for most common gynaecological disorders such as menstrual problems, post-menopausal bleeding, fibroids, pelvic pain and ovarian cysts. He has particular expertise in vaginal and laparoscopic surgery and carries out a wide range of surgical procedures including laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Tim Hillard trained at the Southampton Medical School and King’s College Hospital in London. He has been a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist in Poole, Dorset since 1994. He became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) in 1987 and a Fellow in 1999. He is also a fellow of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (FSRH)

He is an experienced teacher and examines for the MRCOG. He is the UK Chairman of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Associate Professor at St George’s University, Grenada. He is a board member of the British Menopause Society and International Menopause Society.
